Universal service financing under the Act No.151/2000 Coll.

CTU first determined, by decision, the level of provable loss from the provision of a universal service in 2001–2006 and then, in administrative proceedings, the level of the contribution to the universal service fund for individual operators. The holders of telecommunication licences contributed to the universal service fund (licences were awarded to the operators of public telecommunication networks and to the providers of a public telephone service) and in 2005 and 2006 the providers of activities which were previously provided based on a licence.
